There a catch and release subject to barbless or crushed barb hook being used. Fish must be carefully netted or ‘brought to hand’ and preferably, with the fish still in the water, remove the hook using forceps or a similar unhooking tool /disgorger. They must then ensure the fish is safely ‘recovered’ before release.

All rainbow trout, whether kept or returned, shall count towards the Members’ weekly and Season limits and must be recorded in the Register in the Weighing in Kiosk. All brown or large trout over 5 lbs caught must be returned, but these do not count towards the member’s weekly or seasonal totals. The letter R shall be used in the register to identify any returned fish

Your Committee has the right to curtail or amend this ‘catch and release’ option if the water temperature exceeds 16 degrees C, there is evidence of abuse, or for any other reason determined by Your Committee as appropriate to do so.
